Tim & Stuart,

Thank you for all your help.  I wanted to let you know that I 
found a way to get the normal distribution of Geomview to run.
What I did was to become a super user and type:

ln -s libgl.so libgl_s.a

Maybe this was an obvious thing to do, (I always wondered 
what the .so file was good for) I just don't know enough to
know what is obvious.

I would say that the program is now a little clunky, but
adequate.   I plan to try to get the OpenGL version working.

Also, patch 955 and 985 have already been installed so I was 
told that I don't need patch 883.


I still believe that hardware stereo does not work.  After
everything is installed properly and working I will ask in
detail about this.
