 | [Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] Bug with normals in Geomview?

Hi,
	I think I might have found a bug in Geomview. Its to do with the
way Geomview changes COFF objects into CNOFF objects. I've loaded
in the following object
{ = LIST
{ = COFF
4 2 4
0 0 0  0 1 0 1
0.01 0 0  0 1 0 1
0.0199875 -0.000499376 0  0 1 0 1
0.0299512 -0.00135058 0  0 1 0 1
2 0 1
2 1 2
}
}
I now save the object using the Geometry alone mode and I get
{ LIST # World list
{ # test.oogl
  INST   geom {geom LIST
{ = CNOFF
4 2 4
0 0 0  0 0.985549 0.169391  0 1 0 1
0.01 0 0  0.644507 0.764001 0.0302113  0 1 0 1
0.0199875 -0.000499376 0  0.9759 0.180937 -0.121987  0 1 0 1
0.0299512 -0.00135058 0  0 0 0  0 1 0 1
2        0 1
2        1 2
}
} } # end (geom and INST) test.oogl
} #end of World List
This seems to have added normals and given the componants some arbitary
values. Furthermore NaN's are sometimes generated, sorry but I haven't
got a reproducable example of this.
I'm using version 1.4.2, a binary only version from stuart.
Bye for Now
	Rich
